The original Rat Snake is one of the largest snakes in North America, up to 7 1/2 feet. They feed on small
animals by constricting their body and suffocating its prey between the tight coils of its body.
Our Rat-Snake utilizes a reinforced fiberglass body that is an accurate replica of a Historically significant
sports racing car from the '60's. But underneath the skin our Rat-Snake utilizes a multi-tube space frame
chassis that uses the current design trends of modern sports racing cars, not a replica of a 40 year old
frame design. Added advantages of our design are lower weight creating a better power-to-weight ratio,
better protection for the occupants, more support for the body shell, allowing a stronger body/chassis
combination, and a better driving position from lower seating. All this added to our choice of Chevy power
makes for an unbeatable combination. Do you know that Carrol Shelby first looked to Chevy power for his
Anglo-American Hybrid sports car. He recognized the capability of the small block Chevy from years of
development in the Hot Rod industry. Dollar to Horse Power ratio, there is no better choice than the Chevy
small block V-8. That is why we have chosen the Chevy for our Rat-Snake. Of course, we can provide
mounts for Ford power if that is your requirement.
Our Rat-Snake feeds on Mustangs, Camaros. Firebirds, and Corvettes.

Please take the time to carefully look at the parts included in our kit, all high quality components. Compare
the components of our kits to the offering of other manufacturers. At first glance the price of their kits look
attractive but when you recognize what their kits don't include. In some cases they do not include the
rear axle assembly, any brake components, front wheel spindles, radiator, fuel tank, or any steering
components. When you also realize all these components will have to be purchased and rebuilt will you be
able to make an informed decision about their kits. Don't underestimate the value of utilizing new, clean
components for your project.
The Rat-Snake Package includes the following:
Body - High quality, hand laminated, glass re-enforced plastic (GRP), supplied in a sanding gel coat finish.
Doors, hood, and trunk hinged and fitted.
Inner tub and trunk floor installed
Two bucket seat shells
Chassis - Our own custom designed multi-tube space frame.
Front Suspension - Custom upper and lower A-arms complete with urethane bushings and high strength
ball joints. Mustang II spindles with hubs. Alden Eagle billet aluminum adjustable coil-over shocks.
Rear Suspension - Custom 5-link utilizing 32 inch long Nascar style adjustable trailing arms, full width
adjustable Panhard rod, and Alden Eagle billet aluminum adjustable coil-over shocks.
Rear Axle - New 8.8 " Ford Motorsport casing and gear set, high strength Moser axles with 5-bolt pattern.
All brackets for our custom rear suspension are welded on in our special jig fixture.
Braking System - Wilwood components used throughout. Including Wilwoods excellent Mustang II kit up
front and their emergency brake equipped rear kit, along with Wilwoods pedal assemblies and master
cylinder kits. The emergency brake handle is also included .
Steering System - Rebuilt GM rack and pinion with all new components. Custom steering column with 3/4"
shaft and utilizing Borgeson U-joints and the oversized Heim joint for location. Column also fitted with a quick
release steering wheel hub.
Radiator - Custom made 4-row with all required mounting brackets.
Gas Tank - Custom made 14 gallon aluminum tank with internal baffles, outlets for fuel, and provision for the
fuel sender unit.
